TO OUR OVERSEAS STUDENTS

We have to inform you that on your arrival in South Africa you will have to undergo the initial diving medical examination once again as South African Regulations will not accept a foreign medical and vice versa – unless you find a designated South African diving doctor residing in your country!

To assist in this please ask your Diving Doctor to give you all ORIGINALS

X-rays and report
Lung Function
Visual Examination
Hearing test
Stress ECG
Clinical Examination

We realise this is a confidential report, however if you are in possession of these reports your medical will be honoured and transcribed onto a South African Dept of Labour form and signed without you having to undergo a full repeat examination at full cost.

We have numerous doctors in Cape Town – so when you land allow us to book a medical for you and you can spend a day or two in the “Mother City” enjoy her beauty and have your medical done. Just ensure you have all documentation, your passport and 500 South African Rand currency in cash.

We do advise you anyway, to complete your medical in your country as you will require it when you work there and should you be found unfit to dive (hope not!) then you will know prior to paying course booking fees and air travel.

Please also ensure you have all your travel documentation in order, necessary visas and financial requirements. We can not be responsible for giving you time off and transporting you around to rectify any bad planning on your behalf! - No illegal aliens please – ensure travel documents are in good order and we will ensure your diving equipment is in good working order!

We appreciate your co-operation in this matter.

Regards
